John inspected our 1985 Mercedes 500SL, addressing the issues reported by the customer. The cruise control motor was checked to ensure it was operating freely and functioning correctly.

The driver’s heated seat was not working, so the switches and wiring were examined. While the switches were in good condition, there was no power reaching them. Further investigation revealed a corroded relay as the cause of the issue.

The hazard lights were only flashing on one side. Upon removing the switch, light corrosion was found on the connectors. The connectors were cleaned, and the switch was refitted.

The interior lights were also inoperative. The wiring and bulbs were checked, and a broken lamp was replaced. A fault in the switch was identified, requiring a new part.
