The workshop are diving into the 1983 Land Rover Series 3 to get it back up and running as good as it possibly can. First off, our restoration technician Jon has been making his way through the checklist.

‘Check tailgate chains and refit. Tailgate doesn’t align with locating pin. Check fuel guage. Guage currently reads 3/4 tank. Strip and remove sender and visually check fuel level. Put sender arm in various postions and reads ok. It has had a universal sender fitted and the resistance maybe slightly different and reads sIightly out. Raise and remove all wheels. Strip brakes and inspect. Nearside wheel cylinder leaking and shoes worn out.’

Jon began to work his way through the rear brakes and then ran his way through the front brakes to make sure everything worked ok.
