Mattel has started a worldwide search for the first-ever Hot Wheels Tiniest Team Principal. That means one car-loving kid from the UK, one from the United States, and one from Mexico will be picked for a very special job in Formula 1.

A team principal is the boss of a racing team. They help make big decisions, choose strategies, and keep everyone ready to race. This version is different, though, because the job is for children aged 5 to 10.

To enter, a parent or guardian can post a video on TikTok or Instagram between 20th May and 16th June 2026. The video could show a brilliant Hot Wheels track you’ve built, a cool car design, race predictions, or explain how you would run an F1 team.

The winners will be chosen by some very big names from the car world, including Formula 1 boss Stefano Domenicali, 2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button, Mattel’s Ted Wu, and Hot Wheels designer Kristina Albrecht.

The winners will travel with their families to Hot Wheels headquarters in California, help design their own Hot Wheels F1 car, get special race gear, and enjoy VIP access to their home Formula 1 Grand Prix. They will even get a parking spot labelled “Hot Wheels Team Principal”

If you know someone who builds loops, tests jumps, argues about the fastest toy car, and treats race day like a world championship, they might already be perfect for the job!
