Our fabricator Greg has been diving in deeper and deeper into the 1958 Rover 90 restoration project here at the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop. To start with, Greg cut open the A-pillar to begin to remove and repair the corrosion in the area. Greg has carefully opened up and then treated, cleaned up and capped with a new handmade patch panel.

Moving on, Greg began cutting into the lower sections again – he need to replace sections of the sills and also the hinges for the car. The replacement sill pieces were incorrect so Greg fabricated all new pieces to be able to graft them into the existing structure after cutting back any pieces of corrosion to get to fresh metal. Then, after treat the areas behind Greg could cap them off with new fascia and welded them in fully.

After that, Greg moved onto the front lower section to begin getting it ready for repair. But, on strip down, Greg discovered quite a lot of body filler which the team will need to inspect how in-depth the issue goes up, round and into the car.
