Jonn inspected the driver’s side rear window slider lock on our 1968 Austin Mini Cooper S and removed the existing lock. Although new replacement parts were available in the vehicle, they differed slightly from the original specification. As a result, Jonn refitted the original lock and enlarged the hole in the trim to ensure proper engagement.

He then stripped and removed both headlights. Two replacement units were available in stock, which he modified to accommodate sidelight functionality. With only one sidelight holder in stock, Jonn cut the original wiring and soldered the new component in place. He tested the lights and confirmed they were operating correctly.

The nearside headlight and its chrome trim were refitted. The offside headlight remains incomplete pending the arrival of a suitable bulb holder.
