Our restoration technician Jon has begun the process of inspecting and appraising our 1982 Range Rover In-Vogue here at the Bridge Classic Cars Suffolk restoration workshops. As part of the inpsection, Jon put the classic off-roader up on our 4 post ramp to be able to fully inspect the cars chassis and drivetrain.
In Jon’s notes, he has noted a small oil leak as well as a leak from the steering box.
”Check axles and gearbox levels. Grease all points. Remove rear wheels and inspect brakes. Refit wheels and torque up and inflate tyres.”
”Run up and take outside. Warm up and take off choke. Top up coolant and check steering wheel security. Carry out road test. Abit sluggish when accelerating steady but it does pull. Kickdown works OK and it then pulls better. Hesitates and a bit flat when it changes up gears. Return and check level. Top up gearbox auto fluid. Road test. A bit better but still flat when accelerating gently but if you floor it, it picks up better.”
