A familiar face has come back to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop here in Suffolk, this 1939 Morris 8 Tourer. The pre-war Morris was previously won through one of our competitions a year or so ago but has now come in for some maintenance.

Our technician Jon has begun to look through the list of jobs the owner has sent through. So Jon begun by stripping, draining and removing the brake master cylinder.

‘Removeparts from old cylinder to be reused. Clean and prep for fitting new (customer supplied) cylinder. Grease push rod and fit. Grease pedal shaft and install. Secure and then Grease via nipples in pedal pivots. Connect pipes. Bleed system fully to remove old fluid. Check for leaks, ok. Top up fluid and refitcarpet trim. Remove offside rear broken spring eye bolt and replace temporarily with supplied one until we can source correct item. Check and top up rear axle with customer supplied oil.’
