With our 1972 Ford Capri having been won last week, the car came out of the classic lounge and into the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop at our HQ for our technicians to do the final checks and repairs before it heads off to its new home. Our restoration technician Jon, who prepares all of our competition cars as well as customer cars, worked his magic on the classic blue oval GT.

”Put jack and brace in boot and tyre slime kit. Resecure front number plate. Fit grommets to holes in bulkhead. Strip drivers door and adjust inner handle to open door. Refit door panel. Check wipers not working. Fuse OK. Remove switch and found not plugged in due to wires tight from loom. Pull low up and connect switch. Test wipers all ok now. Top up engine oil. Adjust bonnet stops. Take outside and fill with P1 fuel. Carry out road test.”
