Check Over and PDI of the 1983 Porsche 911 Cabriolet

After being won, the 1983 Porsche 911 made its way from the Classic Lounge over to the restoration workshops for our technician Jon to check over, carry out his PDI checks and perform any repairs.

”Raise and inspect. Check gearbox level ok. Fit cable ties to drive shaft boots. Visually inspect brakes. Inflate tyres and torque wheel nuts. Investigate rear fog not working. Found live wire connected to body. Swap round contacts by touching on bulb and light works but won’t work when connected to lamp. Requires new lamp. Investigate reverse lights not working. Found switch not connected but still don’t work when activated. Found no power to switch.”

‘Fit new rear foglight. Crimp on new terminals and connect. Shrink wrap live terminal. Test, OK. Fit lens.’
