Last year, I wrote an article talking about the collapse of Cazoo. Now, though, it is making a comeback after being taken over by MOTORS.

Earlier this week, on 2nd April 2025, Cazoo relaunched as a dedicated used car search platform. With a fresh website and over 200,000 listings from more than 5,000 UK dealers, the brand is now trying to position itself as a serious alternative in the car marketplace.
Under the ownership of MOTORS, who acquired the brand in June 2024, Cazoo aims to offer a more dealer-friendly platform that brings real competition to the sector’s dominant player. Despite stepping back from its original direct-to-consumer model, Cazoo still enjoys strong brand recognition, with six in ten UK consumers familiar with the name. This is partly due to its past high-profile Premier League sponsorships.
The launch features a new website and a refreshed app. Both of these have been designed to make buying a car as simple as possible with intuitive search filters, expert reviews, and video guides.
It is expected that the new Cazoo platform will continue to evolve, with new features and tools rolling out in the coming months. Sustained marketing investment is also on the cards, as the brand re-establishes itself as a popular choice for car buyers and a key partner for dealerships.
The MOTORS’ network includes eBay, Gumtree, Parkers, and Motors.co.uk. However, Cazoo is set to become the group’s flagship name so, for now at least, the future is looking very positive.
