Kath has continued work on the Morris J Type Interior trim complete restoration. She has continued wrapping the seats in brand new black leather. Soon we’ll have the interior matching the external quality of this lovely little vehicle.
Kath, Bridge Classic Cars’ Trimmer has been working hard on re-trimming the seats on our Morris J type. Kath has removed the old leather and using the original fabric as a reference, replaced with new material in the same style.
Another vehicle returning to us at Bridge Classic Cars is this gorgeous little Morris J Type. Since the vehicle left us, the owner has done loads of wonderful work to this vehicle.
The J type will be heading into our trim shop for interior restoration.

Santa of course being Graeme from We Fit Any Tyres AnyWhere and the fantastic selection being: 1955 Austin Healey 100M, 1956 Ford Consul, 1959 Morris J, 1970 Mercedes 280SL Pagoda.
Our Morris J hood has now been recovered and due to the sheer size the very best way to transport it is with our covered vehicle transporter.

Our 1959 Morris J is now ready for paint preparation. Next stage will be to apply a small layer of primer which will help to further shape the shell.
Due to the end result being a blue vehicle the primer will be applied with a blue tone to it.
Andrew has been working tirelessly on getting the bodyshell of our 1959 Morris J Type into a position where the paint preparation guys can take over.
The body repairs are almost complete and we’ll be looking at wheeling her in to the paint shop early next week.
Darren and Andrew are busy (well Andrew is, Darren’s chatting on his phone!!) working on the body of our 1959 Morris J, to get it repaired, welded and ready for paint preparation.
Welding work is now underway on our 1959 Morris J Type. We are working alongside the current owner on this one as we look to present back to him a completely restored empty body shell; welded, shaped and freshly painted.
The rest of the project will be completed by the owner as he looks to put his own stamp on the restoration journey of getting this wonderful Morris back on the road in time for a family wedding later in the year.
Arriving into today we have our 1959 Morris J Type van. We have been assigned the task to prepare and paint the body shell ready for the customer to rebuild in time for a family wedding later in the year.
Arriving soon, our 1959 Morris J Type has a very special engagement in 2020 and needs to be back on the road in time.
We’ll be collected the vehicle within the next couple of months to prepare the body and give it a full re-paint. Once the paintwork is complete the van will return to the owner for the rebuild to commence.
A lot of reshaping and lining up will be required so once the shell is stripped back to metal we can get to work on perfecting the lines.
