We have successfully fabricated the spacers for the front member and suspension for both our Jensen 541R’s.

Brightwork away for polishing

More chrome and brightwork heading over to Tony at Wyatt Polishing for a re-chrome and polish. In our collection today we have parts for our Jensen 541R, Jaguar E-Type and TVR Griffith.

Our Jensen’s Corvette engine with up-rated camshaft

We are progressing very well with our 1957 Jensen 541R’s Corvette engine as we dial in the camshaft. Our engine is having an up rated camshaft fitted so Ady is currently working on rebuilding with the new upgraded specifications. Here we are adjusting the valve timing.

V8 Corvette engine reassembly

Ady is now reassembling the V8 Corvette engine to be fitted into our 1957 Jensen 541R (chassis #328). The block has been refaced, the bores have been honed and we have fitted new pistons with piston rings. Now the engine has been painted we can continue on with the re-assembly.

Jensen 541R – Resizing the big ends on con rod

Our 1960 Jensen 541R (#328) will have ungraded and improved con rod bolts, supplied to us by ARP Automotive Racing Products, California. We are now in the process of resizing the big ends on the con rods to give the smooth finish required. This task will be completed by tomorrow and ready to be fitted.

Our Jensen chassis have now been painted

Refurbishing the Jensen 541R (#328) dials

The dials that arrived in our Jensen 328 were not correct and the customer wished to have them changed for this set. These will now make their way to Speedy Cables to join the many other sets of ours they currently have to be fully stripped down and rebuilt.

Media-blasting the Jensen axles

Both Jensen axles are now removed and ready for the trip up the A14 to Agriblast.  

Our new stainless steel fuel tanks have arrived

Our brand new stainless steel fuel tanks for both the 1957 and 1960 Jensen 541R’s have arrived from the Jensen parts specialists at Richard Appleyard Parts.  

Amendments have been made to both Jensen 541R chassis’

Jensen radiators ready for refurb…

Here we have a set of radiators all ready for the trip over to Sheldrake & Wells in Ipswich for their complete overhaul. In amongst the collection we have the radiators from our 1957 Jensen 541R and 1960 Jensen 541R.

Organising the parts ready for chroming

Overhauling the heater matrix’

Both heater matrix’ have now gone off to the guys and girls at Sheldrake & Wells in Ipswich to be overhauled.

Chromework, Pedal Box, Air Filter.

Sorting through the chrome work of our 1960 Jensen 541R 1960 Jensen 541R – chassis 493 Brian has also successfully stripped, cleaned and repainted both the pedal boxes and heater boxes from both our Jensens.    

Working on the Corvette engine

Ady is now actively working on the restoration of the Corvette V8 engine that will be married up to our 1957 Jensen 541R. The block has successfully been machined and the unleaded conversion has been carried out with the 3 angled valve seats – 75′, 45′ to 30′  

Chassis’s and Parts ready for media blasting
