We have taken in an inquiry this week for the repair of a TVR soft top hood. The stitching seems to be coming away at the plastic screen and the edging is therefore folding back.
The stitching will need to be taken our and re-lined.
This will be one for Kath in our trim shop if it were to come in in the coming months.
Our Morris Mini Restoration has begun! This lovely little Morris is being restored to it’s original factory Cherry Red colour.
Its now had its first coat of primer to keep the rust at bay. It will now head into the fabrication shop.
Friend of Bridge Classic Cars, Phil martin has sent us these wonderful pictures of his Ferrari Dino in Long Melford, Suffolk. These stunning vehicles were produced by Ferrari between 1967 – 1976. Named after Enzo Ferrari’s late son, these iconic classics have aged beautifully.
We love seeing classics such as this Dino out being enjoyed. Please do continue to send us in photos of your pride and joy, we love to see images like this, thanks Phil!
Kath has been hard at work on our Jensen interiors. For the convertible roof she has tackled the following stages
Kath has also begun stripping down the Jensen seats. They actually sit on a fibreglass base that attaches to the car. The seats are currently still being prepared to be reupholstered.
Kath, Bridge Classic Cars’ in-house trimmer has made a new double gear lever gaiter for our Amphicar. She started by dismantling the old, worn gaiter. Then Kath used the old components as a reference for the new materal to be cut to. She then stitched and re-assembled the fabric into shape.

This 1980 MG Midget wis a lovely summer sports car. A truly usable classic that won’t let you down.
Chris is making great progress on our lovely 1960 MG MGA. He’s now primed all panels in white primer with a guide coat over the top. Chris has also applied colour-matched raptor paint to the underside panels to prevent future rust and corrosion.
The MGA will be entering the final stages of paint very soon and emerging reborn with stunning red paintwork. Great work, Chris!
Weโve been making great progress on our 1973 Triumph TR6 restoration.
Within our in-house paint shop, Darren has been working hard on our Triumph TR6 body. Originally brown, Darren has taken the bodywork back to bare metal to ensure the stunning magenta paintwork on the TR6 is perfect. He started by repairing, sanding and priming the Triumph body, ensuring the surface is 100 percent smooth before going into the spray booth for colour. This wonderful magenta was an original factory option offered by Triumph on the TR6 and our customer has chosen this colour for his vehicle.
Mauro has been making great progress working on our TR6’s chassis. Heโs fitted new coil springs, brake cylinder, front brake discs, front brake callipers, brake lines, front and rear hubs, rear drum brakes, bushes, ball joints and shock absorbers so far. Weโve also fitted our fully restored suspension arms and uprated bushes to improve ride quality.

Our 1928 Caravan, built by the legendary Caravan manufacturer, Bill Knott has been bought by Bill Knott’s Family!
Believed to have been built by a 16-year-old Bill Knott in his garden shed this is one of the earliest examples of his work.It will now feature in a museum exhibition which delves into the life and work of one of the founding fathers of the caravan.

Kath has been working on both of our Jensen 541 R’s within the Bridge Classic Cars Trim Shop. She has been simultaneously working on interior components for both of our Jensen 541 R restorations.
The Jensen dials have also arrived in to the workshop, ready to be fitted and wired in to the newly trimmed dash.
Great work, Kath! These new interior pieces will shortly be installed into both cars.
Darren has been working on our 1973 Triumph TR6 Restoration. The TR6 has been stripped down to bare metal and prepared for paint.
The new Triumph wings have been stripped of paint and the entire vehicle has been prepared ready for paint.
Our MGA restoration has been progressing nicely. The body has been down in our in-house trim shop with Chris. Chris has been checking body panel fitment and making any nessasary adjustments for perfect panel gapping.
From this stage, the panels have been thoroughly prepared. Chris has sanded and filled in the panels multiple times to make sure the surface is perfect before it goes into paint.
Great work, Chris! We can’t wait to see how this MGA looks after painting!
Earlier this week Freddie and Craig had the wonderful opportunity to transport this incredible 2011 Sauber F1 car. Our covered, secure trailer is perfect for discreetly transporting precious cargo.
This F12 car was raced by the both Serio Perez (Barcelona and Turkey) and Kamui Kobayashi (Singapore).

We’ve just been sent this image of the F1 car without it’s livery, ready for delivery.
Kath has made a wonderful repair to this BMW’s rear bolster.
In order to perfectly match the leather, Kath has come up with an ingenious solution. She’s elected to cut out the damaged area at the bottom of the bolster and stretch the leather over, before stitching it back together. This means that when this panel returns back into the vehicle, the leather will have the same ageing and colour as the rest of the interior and will look pristine once more.

This vehicle will undergo a full restoration. We are currently discussing the specification this vehicle will be finished to. The engine and gearbox appear to be in very good condition so may not need to be refurbished. The bodywork and paint however are in need of some TLC.
Being a U.S. delivered E-Type, this car features a plastic front and rear bumper to meet U.S. safety regulations of the 70s.

Whilst at Felixstowe docks we spotted some rather interesting vehicles, including a beautiful Porsche SC.
We’ll now be bringing the Jaguar E-Type back to our workshop to begin this total restoration.

He’s fitted the rear springs, differential and rear hubs. Mauro has also fitted the upper and lower front arms as well as the front anti roll bar to the front of the vehicle.
Our Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Racecar has been over to Demand Engineering for a full stainless steel exhaust. We elected to go for a side exit exhaust to suit the ethos behind this lightweight race-car build.
Tom has also fitted lightweight perspex glass to the rear windscreen, whilst strengthened glass is fitted to the windscreen.

The roof will now make its way over to New Zealand with the Daimler Dart we sold last month.
We’ve made great progress on our beautiful 1960 Jensen 541 R. Bob has installed the wiring harness, front and rear lights and indicators. Paul has fitted the bonnet and bonnet support struts.
This restoration is now really starting to come together. The next stages will be to fit the freshly trimmed dashboard and wire in the dashboard instrumentation.

The Bristol 411 was built in Britian between 1989 to 1976 by Bristol Cars. The 411 is a luxurious vehicle with a good amount of power produced form its 6.3l V8 engine.
This wonderful Bristol 411 is in with us for a full service and MOT.
We’ve welcomed in this lovely Ford Consul to our workshop for restorative works. This fabulous Ford is in such wonderful condition. It truly is a credit to it’s owner.
Whilst with us, the Consul will have a full brake overhaul and engine restoration works.
