Catching a Brake – The 1939 Jaguar SS100 Gets Some TLC

With the 1939 Jaguar SS100 seeing some serious use over the summer, the Bridge Classic Cars restoration team have been working on giving the pre-war sports car some TLC. After finding some uneven wear on the brake shoes, the team have fitted up a new set for the car.

New brake shoes arrived. Remove wheels and drums. Clean backplates and lube contacts. Fit new shoes and refit drums. Adjust each brake. Refit wheels and knock up tight. Pump pedal and operate brake. Readjust where required. Take outside and test. All ok.”
