‘Check carbs. Jet adjuster on front carb doesn’t seem to make much difference. Remove suction chamber and piston and inspect. Found jet sticking in brass union. Remove suction chamber and piston from rear carb and set jet depth to 1mm. Rear carb seems OK. Reassemble. Lube front carb jet and leave to soak.’
‘Check jet now been sat in WD40 for awhile. Press jet down gently and watch to see if it returns. Repeat and then check it moves when adjusterturned. Set to 1mm again and reassemble. Run up and take outside. Warm up and carry out road test. Seems OK, just slow idle speed down a bit. Hot starts OK, try later when cooled for cold start check. 3pm. Checked cold start and it started fine. If customer encounters any more starting or running issues, ignition timing and sytem would need checking and carbs will need a strip and clean.’
