Carblah.com has launched today.
This is the UKโs first dedicated car review platform written entirely by owners. Designed to bring honest, real-world feedback to car buyers, the new site allows drivers to rate and review the cars they actually live with.
Carblah is the creation of automotive editor Steve Fowler, known for leading Auto Express, What Car?, and Autocar, and currently EV Editor at The Independent. The idea behind Carblah is that everyday drivers often have more practical insight into cars than traditional reviewers. Carblah puts that insight in front of car buyers.
The site launches with 30 detailed questions for each review, covering everything from reliability to comfort, running costs, and whether the owner would recommend their car. Ratings are given out of 10, with optional written comments to provide context and detail.
All reviews are currently being collected ahead of a public release in October, when the siteโs content will become fully accessible. Carblah also plans to make anonymised data available to clients across the automotive industry, offering valuable insight into real-world ownership.
Behind the scenes, Carblah is a collaboration between Fowler and Michael Yeates, a business advisor with experience at companies like HSBC and John Lewis. Website development comes courtesy of South Wales-based tech start-up Configur, with Kmac Digital managing social media.
