A One-Off Bugatti Veyron – The F.K.P. Hommage

As I’ve mentioned several times already recently, just over twenty years ago, the Bugatti Veyron changed the definition of what a car can be. It had over 1,000 horsepower, a top speed of more than 250mph, and was completely usable as a daily driver!

Now, two decades later, Bugatti has created a tribute to the man who made it all possible, with a one-off model called the F.K.P. Hommage.

It’s the second creation from the brand’s ultra-limited Programme Solitaire, and it’s an incredible machine.

A Car Born from a Sketch

Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, former Volkswagen Group boss and something of an engineering genius, first sketched his idea for Bugatti’s signature W engine while on a bullet train in Japan. That sketch eventually led to the quad-turbocharged W16 engine, which went on to be the powerhouse behind the Veyron.

The W16 packed 16 cylinders into just 645mm of space and helped define the Veyron’s short wheelbase and absolutely insane performance. The new F.K.P. Hommage builds on that foundation with the final and most powerful version of the W16. This one has 1600hp and comes from the Chiron Super Sport.

Still a Veyron

The F.K.P. Hommage keeps the Veyron’s shape, but everything’s been sharpened and refined to make it even better. It’s still got that laid-back look that set it apart from the wedge-shaped supercars of its era, but now with cleaner lines, reworked surfaces, and a grille milled from a solid block of aluminium.

The two-tone colour scheme has been given a cleaner split to match the updated bodywork. The paint itself is also pretty special. Its deep red colour is actually a metallic silver base with red pigments added, so it catches the light in a whole new way. The black part of the car is exposed carbon fibre, giving the car an absolutely stunning appearance.

Wheel sizes have grown (20-inch front, 21-inch rear), and new Michelin tyres bring things up to date performance-wise. Bigger front intakes feed the engine, while those signature air ducts just behind the cabin are still very much part of the look.

Inside

Inside, the steering wheel is round and minimalist, like the original Veyron’s. The centre console has been machined from solid aluminium, and the upholstery is from Custom Car Couture in Paris. If that wasn’t special enough, there is also a 41mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon, mounted in the dashboard (how else would you tell the time!?). This is powered by a clever mechanical system that rotates as the car moves, so no electronics are needed. It was added at the request of the car’s owner, which gives you a sense of how bespoke this build really is.

A Powerful Tribute

Bugatti’s Head of Design, Frank Heyl, called this car “the ideal, definitive Veyron,” and it wraps up 20 years of W16 development, cutting-edge technology, and design heritage in one very special machine.

The F.K.P. Hommage will make its first public appearance at the Ultimate Supercar Garage as part of Rétromobile Paris, running from January 29th to February 1st, 2026.

Just one will be made.
