Theatre in Education Workshop – April 1st to June 30th 2026

Bridge Classic Cars Kids is taking its Theatre in Education workshop to Suffolk primary schools from April to June this year. This is an immersive, interactive experience that combines live performance with hands-on learning to help encourage curiosity, creativity, and an interest in history.

Based on The Story of Rilee, the unique workshop introduces pupils to Rilee, a 120-year old restored car who has to learn how to live in the modern world. With his friends, Eco and Luxy, Rilee takes children on a journey that connects automotive history with real-world themes like sustainability, engineering, and friendship.

What the Workshop Includes

  • Live performance – a 45-minute theatrical performance of The Story of Rilee by our trained technicians, Max and Molly.
  • Interactive group workshop – fun challenges and discussions to reinforce learning.
  • Curriculum-linked content – supporting KS1 and KS2 history and environmental learning.
  • Take-away inspiration – practical ideas to help children think about sustainability and the past in new ways.

This workshop is designed for:

  • Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 groups
  • Classes, whole year groups, or mixed learning groups
  • Children and adults with additional learning needs
