The progress on the 1978 Mercedes 350SL is flying along throughout the various departments at the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop deep in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Whilst our workshop team are busy sorting through the cars various pieces of chrome trim work and cataloguing each individual piece, our fabricator Greg has been busy on the metal work of the classic German sports tourer.
Greg is working on getting the rear end into shape, with multiple adjustments of the boot, quarter panels and various pieces to get the car square and true with the help of our paint and body manager Chris. After these pieces were all within tollerance and triple checked, Greg could weld them into the bodyshell before beginning to make some small patch panels at the tomorrow of rear lights and quarter panel.
