Those of you who know the story of our 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4, currently being restored at the Bridge Classic Cars Suffolk restoration workshops, is that we have affectionately referred to it by its nickname ‘Claret’ since it first arrived in with us. But, part of its story is that it originally left the factory in 1953 in Black but quickly returned not long after to be repainted in Claret.
Well, as part of its restoration, its owner has decided to take this classic Aston Martin back to its earliest day and is now finished deep, beautiful, glossy and incredible Black thanks to the skillful and masterful hands of our painter Chris. After meticulously preparing the bodywork over the last few weeks, this morning ‘Claret’ was wheeled into our paint booth for Chris to lay down the next phase of the cars life.
