It’s a bit of a strange feeling for me – handing over the reigns to another photographer of something I’ve been so heavily involved in but I couldn’t think of any one more patient and switched on as John – our new digital content creator.

As much as I’ve enjoyed shooting our competition cars, it was time for me to begin devoting more of my time and craft to our restoration workshops, that means that John will now be holding the torch of getting to document these sensational machines and the wonderfully enthusiastic and kind Molly. As we shot the pre-war Austin, I found myself smiling and going back in time to when my predecessor Freddie began having me shoot the competition cars and tried to give John the same guidance that Freddie gave me.

Watching him move, adjust, think and capture the car was wonderful to see and working with Molly to get the best feel and look of the car.
