Behind The Scenes Of A Snowy Shoot!

John and I went out filming on a crisp winter’s morning where the temperature was -5, but that didn’t stop us! The snowy fields were the perfect backdrop for these beautiful classics. The cars did not disappoint with a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL and a 1983 Porsche 911. Both of these cars were a treat to film, and I am extremely lucky to be able to get behind the wheel of these iconic classics.

The Mercedes colour combination is just perfect with its original silver paintwork over the beautiful, rich, deep red leather interior, and it is in absolutely stunning condition.

On this particular shoot, I would have to say the 1985 Porsche 911 was my favourite. The sound of the engine, the sleek lines of the body, and the classy feel the car has are second to none. Both of these cars would be a dream to own, and someone is going to have that dream come true as they are both going to be won very soon!

Can you tell me why the DVLA has this vehicle as having a ‘Date of first registration – May 1990’.

      Hi Nigel,

The car was originally registered overseas and was first registered in the UK in May 1990.

      I hope that helps.

Thanks for your prompt clarification of that point.
