We have recently welcomed our 1989 Rover Mini into the workshop. It has been out of action for a long time, and other than its engine being removed, it has stood untouched. As you can see from the photos below, even a thorough clean can make a world of difference to these cars!
Our 1999 Rover Mini has been in the paint shop with Mauro. While it was in there, its roof was painted and, as you can see, it looks great!
We thought it would be a very tricky decision for some people whether they wanted to win a modern or a classic Golf. The answer we came up with was to launch a competition where you can win BOTH. The lucky winner of our Best of Both competition will be the new owner of our […]
The all-electric Lotus Evija has set new records during its Autocar Road Test. During the test, it outpaced everything tested previously, including the McLaren F1 and the Bugatti Veyron. Customer deliveries of the Evija have started, so Autocar put it through its comprehensive performance evaluation. The result was record-breaking acceleration times and earning the title […]
Over the last decade, the number of classic cars on UK roads has more than doubled. However, despite more classics being driven, emissions from the sector have only risen by 34% overall. This is, in large part, due to “younger classics” bringing improved fuel efficiency with them. Back in 2013, there were just under 467,000 […]
The OMODA 9 SHS, the flagship SUV of OMODA UK, has completed a 730-mile European road trip without refuelling or recharging along the way. The journey, which went through nine countries, actually performed better than the SUV’s WLTP-estimated 700-mile range, all on a single tank of fuel and one full battery charge. Starting from Dover, […]
Last year, we lost our incredible trimmer, Brian. After his short battle with lung cancer, Brian sadly passed away, and he has been hugely missed ever since. Being a huge bike man himself, as a little tribute to our friend Brian, we have made and installed this bike in a special spot right next to […]
Our 1976 Jenson Interceptor is in the final stages of its restoration now. The majority of the interior is now in, including the steering wheel and seats. Ben has run up the engine, and the levels were checked. The gauges are all working, and the engine has good oil pressure; the fans also kick in. […]
Jonn investigated the ABS warning light on our 2002 Ford Thunderbird, starting by inspecting the connections at the ABS module. He disconnected the plug and examined the pins, all of which were clean and in good condition, before reconnecting the plug securely. He then raised the car on the ramp and disconnected the rear wheel […]
Jonn carried out further work on our 1987 Maserati BiTurbo by slackening the radiator brackets to allow the radiator to be moved forward slightly before re-securing it in its new position. This adjustment provided the necessary clearance to fit the lower radiator hose, which was then test-fitted and checked for any contact with the pulley. […]
The parcel shelf vinyl of our 1963 Rover P4 was cleaned and re-glued. The rear screen was then fitted, which meant that the rear headlining trim, quarter panel trims, parcel shelf, and seats could be fitted.
Jonn continued work on our 1956 Jensen 541 by tidying up the wiring around the fuse box and under the bonnet. He identified the function of each wire, trimming them back as necessary before connecting and testing each circuit. Once all the lights were confirmed operational, he finalised the wiring at the fuse box, leaving […]
Steve has fitted new pads to the newly refurbished front brake calipers of our 1967 Jaguar E-Type.
Rob has made lots of progress on our 1960 Jensen 541R. As he continues his work, you can really start to see the car coming together. It will be great to see it back out on the road in the near future.
Chris has been prepping our 1969 Audi 70L for polyfan. The doors and boot are back on, gapping is all sorted, and all damage has been repaired.
This Mercedes-Benz 380 Cabriolet A is so rare that even though it has been locked away for more than 30 years, and doesn’t even start, someone was willing to pay over £250,000 to buy it. Super Rare To give you an idea of how rare this car actually is, only 16 of them were ever […]
Yesterday, we welcomed almost 200 people and cars to Bridge Classic Cars for our Summer BBQ. Despite some grey skies at times (and one shower), the weather held out enough for everyone to spend some time admiring the cars that had been brought along, as well as taking a look at the restorations currently ongoing […]
The first stage of setting up our Summer BBQ is now complete thanks to Events Under Canvas. Our outdoor seating area is covered and protected from any weather conditions, and it looks fantastic too. There’s still time to book your tickets if you want to join us on Sunday. Hopefully, we will see you there.
Will Self-Driving Cars soon be seen on UK roads? The UK government has launched a public consultation to see how (and if) self-driving vehicles could be integrated into everyday road use across the country. Trials of self-driving vehicles are due to start in 2026, so it might not be too long until we are all […]
Our 2004 Alpina Roadster S is going to have a new home soon. You can enter the draw here
We are doing our best to support local businesses at our Summer BBQ on Sunday. Not only are we working with Events Under Canvas to make sure the weather can’t dampen our spirits, we are also stocking the bar with a range of locally sourced products. Whether you will be drinking 0% alcohol or something […]
We have recently welcomed our 1999 Rover Mini into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop. As you can see, it has already had its engine removed, but we will be completing some paintwork on its roof.
UK new car and commercial vehicle production dropped by 11.9% in the first half of 2025, with a total of 417,232 vehicles being made, according to new figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Although June brought a slight improvement, with car output rising 6.6% compared to the same month last year, […]
Gregg carried out the removal of the engine from our 1979 Reliant Scimitar. Once the engine was taken out of the bay, he proceeded to clean down the heavily greased and oil-covered components. Particular attention was given to the oil-soaked manifolds, which were sandblasted to remove the built-up grime and contaminants in preparation for further […]
James Bond has access to some very cool vehicles. Whether he is driving on the road, flying through the air, or travelling by sea, he always seems to have a vehicle that is just right for the situation. However, the James Bond of the future will be environmentally conscious, so he will need some new […]
An extremely rare and historically significant 1930s Mercedes-Benz has recently sold for more than £250,000 despite being in need of a full and in-depth restoration. It was sold via Manor Park Classics on 19th July 2025. This Mercedes-Benz 380 (W22) Cabriolet A is believed to be one of just 16 built, and was discovered as […]
Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars is saddened to hear of the passing of Adam Reason, the man behind Reason Porsche and a good friend of our director, Gordon. I’m sure Gordon has many stories to tell about his friendship with Adam but, from a personal point of view, I had a very brief interaction […]
There are some classic cars that are iconic in their own right. However, from time to time, certain classics raise the bar when it comes to being recognised and acknowledged. We recently got to experience this first-hand when our absolutely stunning (and always iconic) 1965 Aston Martin DB5 became a sustainable vehicle! Thanks to our […]
