A lot of people think we only work our magic on classic car restorations but that’s not the case…and it’s not always classic cars too. Here we are working on perfecting some paint issues on a VW Beetle. Will this be a future classic? Maybe so…but for now, it’s once again looking lovely.

Last weekend, I took a trip, with the family to The Black Country Living Museum in Dudley. I can totally see why it is but describing this incredible place a museum does not do it the justice it deserves…it’s more like an experience! What a day it turned out to be! I have to admit […]
A late night trip to see Steve at Carousel Promotional Clothing to make some last minute alterations to our ltd run of F1 Monza shirts. We have two new arrivals heading in to the workshops very soon. Both vehicles are destined for competition status but both are vastly different from one another. Let’s head back to 1931, 94 years ago to be precise. The roads were very different to what we see today. Construction of the one of the world’s […]
I can think of worst things to do at 6am on a Wednesday morning. This was my job for this morning, test driving our lovely 1964 Daimler 250 V8. The car performed beautifully. We will continue to test throughout the coming days so so far the results are looking very promising.
I cornered Nick this morning as he arrived in the office. I noticed how we were very much behind in our arrival photos which is not good and not something we orinarily get behind in. When a car arrives in to Bridge Classic Cars HQ, the first position is the imporant one as this is […]

Lydia has now completed the interior work on my Land Rover Defender 90, just in time for our upcoming shows. I wanted to carpet out the rear area and under the front seats to give the interior a more stylish and comfortable look. I’m sure it’ll also help with sound deadening. With the rear windows […]

What an epic weekend we’ve just experienced here at Bridge Classic Cars. Like the rest of Suffolk right now, pink played a massive part in our celebrations. Let’s start with Thursday and Goodwood Festival of Speed. I was joined this year by Rob who was experiencing all that a Goodwood event has to offer for […]
More progress being made on the sympathetic restoration of our Mercedes Vito van. All too often we see the effects corrosion has on Mercedes and I know myself, with my SL500 R107 just how severe it can be. Not to worry though, as a restoration company we are very much used to dealing with this.
As Rob and I set off very soon for Goodwood Festival Of Speed, I have just finalised details for our latest arrival, our 2009 Aston martin AMV8 Vantage Convertible. This is a bit of a risky one as I have bought the car unseen. This is most certainly out of the ordinary for us but […]
Having been our trusted workhorse for many many years, it’s now time to bid a fond farewell to our Mercedes Vito van as it heads into retirement. But this is certainly not a sad story! This is the beginning of a new career. I wonder how many Mercedes Vito vans have been restored. That’s exactly […]

We introduced the world to Rilee and The Story of Rilee, a charming tale told for children. At the heart of the story is Rilee, a 1905 […]
Back in May, Rob and Nick were invited along to the SMMT Test Day held at UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground, best known as the testing facilities for some of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers. I heard all about the day when they returned; how much fun they had, what they got to drive and just […]
1987 Maserati BiTurbo Jon worked on our 1987 Maserati BiTurbo this week. He has aligned and refitting the engine mounting bolts before securing them in place. Bridge Classic Cars were very proud to be one of the 6 main sponsors for this year’s Rainbow Run held at St Mary’s Primary School in Woodbridge. Without support from businesses and generous individuals, events like this may not be able to happen. Children benefit hugely from group gatherings and much needed down time from […]

Jon is continuing with the remedial works on the Porsche Boxter. The battery is secured down and we’ve tightened the battery terminals. The driver’s seatbelt was twisted so this is now rectified. This could only be done by undoing the bottom mount. The catalyst heat shield on the NS has now been secured to stop […]
The colour transformation is now starting to take shape as Chris has applied the black primer to our Aston Martin DB2/4.
Ben is currently fitting up the components on our 1976 Jensen Interceptor. Headlights are going in, some of the chrome trim is also being fitted. The owner of this incredible machine is visiting later this week so we look forward to showing him the progress to date.
1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI A bit of corrosion has been discovered in our Golf GTI so the car is now with Greg and the paint shop to rectify. We are not expecting it to take too long to resolve the issues and prepare the car for paint. 1993 Ford Escort XR3I On to our Ford […]
…or do they? George has had a busy first week, working on many cars. The photos show the process that we took in fitting the parking sensors. George removed the number plate, removed the latch, routed the wires through the latch. A hole was drilled or the wires to go through, put a grommet in, […]
Updates from George and Steve – here we have photos showing the process of removing the top part of the gearbox tunnel. This included; removal of the seats, carpets, radio and gear-shifter.
