The small Buckinghamshire town of Newport Pagnell has now been the home of Aston Martin for 70 years.

Back in 1955, the company moved to Tickford Street, bringing its operations to one location from its former West London and Yorkshire bases. Newport Pagnell would go on to become the birthplace of some of the most recognisable and iconic cars of all time like the DB4, DB5 and DB6.

For decades, Sunnyside, which is a modest brick building about the size of two semi-detached houses was Aston’s global HQ. Even though the company’s main manufacturing and head office moved to Gaydon in 2007, Newport Pagnell is still very much part of Aston Martin’s set up. Today, the site is home to Aston Martin Works, where around 100 people restore, service, and sell cars.

To celebrate the anniversary, around 150 Aston Martins turned up for an event over the weekend, with owners, engineers, and staff past and present all meeting up to acknowledge the seven decade relationship.
