The team have begun to get started on their in-depth checks and repairs on the 1968 MGC Roadster. Our technician Jon has been working his way through the classic roadster to get it back to tip top health.

‘Strip brakes and check operation. Fluid was very low in reservoir for rear brakes. With wills help check rear brake opration. Not working, pedal solid. Top up reservoir and attempt to bleed rears to trace fault. No fluid or very little fluid being passed so suspect master cylinder. Refit drums and wheels and knock up tight. Inflate tyres.’

‘Strip and remove brake master cylinder. Very awkward so remove clutch master cylinder to gain better access. Undo pedal box and twist to allow removal of cylinder.’
