Last night, our director Craig was invited to a true petrolhead attended evening – Alex Brundle hosted an evening with the Fressingfield Oily Rag Club. Alex, son of former F1 driver Martin Bruncle, is a well established and revered driver across multiple championships but recently he’s been more involved in the world of classics. From racing GT40’s at Spa to sharing a Ford Mustang with automotive journalist and all round petrolhead Chris Harris and the true legend that Marino Franchitti , including everything in between.
He spoke about his career and his passion for racing while also explaining how he got to this point in his career, with having a father like Martin Brundle.
Interestingly, the Brundle family call East Anglia their home so it was lovely to hear the wonderful stories of a local father and son duo having so much success in the world of motorsport.
The evening with Alex gave the around 200 people in attendance a real insight and honest approach to a varied yet highly skilled career in motorsport.
One of the many facinating topics learnt from the evening was his recent opportunities racing at Goodwood Revival and Goodwood Members’ Meet.
