The Bridge Classic Cars team are no strangers to the Jensen 541 – over the past 10 years we have restored numerous examples of this lesser known British GT car to the point where we tend to know them inside and out. This 1956 Jensen 541 recently arrived at our Suffolk HQ for a few jobs for its new owner.

Our restoration technician Jon has been checking over the Jensen on our ramp:

Carry out repairs requestd by customer from our report. Raise and inspect handbrake mechanism and cable. Adjustment pretty much at maximum. Disconnect cable and wind off end. Remove rear wheels and clean and inspect brakes. Refit drums and adjust up. Refit cable and secure locknut. Pump pedal and operate hand brake. Check wheels spin freely. Refit wheels and knock up tight. Adjust shoes again and try handbrake, 5 clicks.
