John (workshop manager) and Jon (restoration technician) have been getting things back on the move with the 1987 Mercedes 500SL project. With the team beginning to get trims and body pieces fitted to the car, which has required quite a bit of adjustment.

‘Fit chrome trims and gasket to rear above rear lights. Clean and shine up boot catch and spray with clear lacquer. Fit when dry. Get front bumper and use a portable power hydraulic ram from body shop to open up. Align on car much better. Fit and secure. Fit trim piece between bumper and body.’
