Our workshop team have been preparing and making the adjustments to the 1960 Austin Healey 3000 at our Suffolk restoration workshops. Rob, one of our amazing technicians, has been make several adjustments and upgrades to the car for the owner.

One of the customers requests was for the team to make the cars classic soft top fit with the competition roll cage in place. To do this, Rob had to cut apart the hood frame with the brackets and hinges moved to take into account the roll cage as well as the cross bar cut in half and a sleeve made so it becomes a two-piece part.

At the same time, Rob has removed the dynamo and upgraded it with a more modern alternator – a better power supply for the various timing gear and a more stable battery charge.
