A Happy Retirement

Last week, we said goodbye to a longstanding member of the Bridge Classic Cars team as Mike Lloyd officially retired from his role as our accountant. Mike has been a huge part of the business for the last 5 years, and he will certainly be missed.

Mike has worked with Gordon for most of his professional life, building a close and trusted relationship that became the foundation for his involvement with Bridge. That trust naturally extended to Craig too, and over the years, Mike has taken on responsibilities that go far beyond what you would expect from an everyday accountant.

On Thursday, the team all got together in The Classic Lounge for some food and drink. Obviously, there were also speeches, gifts, and a lot of laughing too.

It’s at times like this, when someone like Mike retires, that it highlights the value of people like him. People who simply get on with their work quietly but do such a great job at keeping things going that their input almost becomes invisible. However, everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars appreciates everything Mike did for us as individuals and for the business as a whole.

Retirement is something we all hope to reach one day, and there’s no one more deserving than Mike of some well-earned rest, relaxation, and hopefully a few new adventures. While we’re sad to see him go, we’re also genuinely happy for him as he enters this next chapter of his life.

Thanks for everything Mike and enjoy retirement. We hope to see you at our events in the future.
