As our 1969 Audi 70L gets closer and closer to being back on the road, the Bridge Classic Cars team are working their way through the car making sure everything is ready for that moment.

Jon has been working on getting the gear selector and cables so that the car be put into gear.

‘Prepare gear link arm and selector rod for fitment. Paint arm. John shrink wrapped selector cable. Slide over arm and fit pinch bolt. Fit selector arm and lube ball sockets. Press ball sockets on and align arm. Tighten pinch bolt and fit rubbers to cable a d secure. Fit selector cable ball end and press into socket. Test gears. See all OK.’

‘Help Will run up and check. Adjust timing to get it to idle. Timing out from manufactures setting but runs OK. Adjust carb mix and idle sped. Switch off so will can check over after running for 10 mins.’
