Earlier today, we welcomed a new arrival to Bridge Classic Cars, in the form of this beautifully preserved 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk I. Chassis LML/532 has travelled from France to our Suffolk workshops for our skilled team to restore and prepare for life back on the road.
Built during Aston Martin’s time at Feltham, this early DB2/4 still seems to have a lot of its original and period-correct details, including its matching-style Aston Martin identification plates, Galley coachwork tags, Lucas electrical components, and the W.O. Bentley-designed twin-cam straight-six engine. This is one of the earliest DB2/4 Mk I cars produced, so it is a very special car to have with us.
Now that it is here, this rare Aston Martin is beginning the next stage of its story here at Bridge Classic Cars. Over the coming months, our restoration team will assess, investigate, and restore the car while maintaining as much originality and character as possible for its owner in France.
Our 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 now joins our other two DB2/4s already in the workshop!
