Some objects carry their history with them, even after they are a long way removed from their original purpose. This is exactly how you can describe this handmade clock. It is a genuine BMW 02 Series instrument cluster (1966–1977) that’s been turned into something very cool and useful, even though the car it once belonged to has probably long gone.

Originally angled toward the driver in its donor car, the cluster still has its VDO gauges, the branded BMW dials, and the large central clock. If you’re a BMW fan, you’ll feel very much at home looking at this.

The clock is entirely handmade, using high-grade materials to preserve the authenticity of the original components while giving them a new life. The best thing about repurposing things like this, though, is that you can make them better suited to the modern world. For example, a Qi-certified wireless charger is integrated into the unit, while discreet switches at the back control LED illumination, allowing you to independently light the dials, warning lights, and gauges.

This could be an ideal Christmas present for a BMW enthusiast or a fantastic talking point at home.

Either way, with only 300 of 3000 tickets sold, you might want to buy a ticket to win our Re-Engauge BMW Munich Clock for just £2.
