The final components from the top side of our 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante have been removed, and the handbrake assembly is undergoing degreasing to assess its condition. The brakes and wheels have been inspected, and the vehicle has been taken off the ramp in preparation for bodywork to begin.
Several engine bay components have been sandblasted and painted, including the header tank, power steering reservoir, washer bottle bracket, and cooling fan. Internal parts have been cleaned and degreased in readiness for repair and reassembly. These items have been painted using Techgrip DTM gloss black.
The oil cooler has been flushed and placed in a de-rust tank to evaluate its condition before painting, as its delicate fins prevent sandblasting.
