When our Bentley Continental GT first arrived on British roads in March of 2005, it hadn’t been designed for country estates or to sit in concours displays; it had been made to be driven. It was a 6-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 grand tourer with 552bhp, permanent all-wheel drive and continent-crossing speed. It just also happened to have a whole load of hand-stitched leather and polished wood!

And two decades later, it still has that power and driving ability, and it’s still as luxurious as ever.

Bentley Continental GT – Luxury Performance

In the cabin, there is the unmistakable look and feel of early-2000s Bentley, with its wide centre console, deep-set instruments, and all the leather and veneer you can imagine. It’s an environment built for long distances. The Continental GT was made to eat up the motorway miles while keeping the driver in the height of luxury and style.

Perhaps the main reason why this car became such a powerhouse was the 5,998cc W12 that sits under the bonnet. It’s worth considering that, even today, 552bhp isn’t a low number. This is a huge car that you could comfortably drive for long periods of time, but it can still keep up with some of the best.

If we move on to the story of this particular Continental GT, it’s obviously not been stuck in a garage for most of its life, but it certainly isn’t a high-mile example either. At its most recent MOT in April 2025, it had covered 74,655 miles. This shows a steady and consistent increase from its first MOT in 2008 at 17,803 miles.

The service book entries from 2014 and 2015 align with the MOT records from the same dates. This level of consistency goes a long way in showing that this incredible GT has been well cared for, used, and has been kept in the best condition possible.

From 2019 onwards, annual use drops quite a bit. That suggests that the car likely transitioned from a daily driver to more of a weekend fun car. I think it would be difficult not to drive this every single day, but when those summer weekends came around, it would be huge amounts of fun covering the miles in this!

What makes this exact Bentley Continental GT so interesting, though, is that it will very soon belong to someone who bought it for less than a tenner.

It may have once been a six-figure luxury performance car, but it’s now going to be a single-figure car (for its next owner, anyway).

Unbelievable, someone is going to win this 552bhp, twin-turbocharged Bentley Continental GT for just £9.

The engineering hasn’t changed. The level of luxury hasn’t changed. The car’s ability to cover hundreds of miles with ease hasn’t changed. The only thing that has changed is accessibility.

For £9, you have the chance to win an incredible Bentley Continental GT that has been extremely well cared for, maintained by specialists, and used exactly as it should be.
