The 1985 Mercedes 500SL has been quite a long running project for the Bridge Classic Cars team. But, after having some repairs to the cars bulkhead the team can now begin to get the car back into reassembly. Here’s what Jon has been up to:
”Start refitting bulkhead components. Drop heater fan into position but multi plug wont now fit in hole. Remove heater fan and grind out bulkhead strengthening for clearance. Paint bare metal and fit fan and plug. Elongate screw holes to alignand then secure to bulkhead. Using photos for reference mark and drill heater valve mounting secure to bulkhead. Route wires across to check. Drill and fit throttle spindle support next to heater valve and secure.”
