A rare 1977 Ferrari 512 BB ‘Wide Body’ with just 6,000 miles on the clock is going up for sale with H&H Classics at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, on April 9th, 2025. This one-owner example, estimated to sell for between £150,000-£170,000, is believed to be unique among the 101 UK-delivered right-hand-drive models.
A Custom Ferrari
Commissioned by its sole owner through Maranello Concessionaires, this 512 BB was extensively modified with wider wheels, engine upgrades, and reshaped bodywork. It has been maintained by Vince Mezzullo, a Maranello Concessionaires employee who shared a Sicilian heritage with the owner.
Finished in Rosso Chiaro with black leather and carpeting, the Ferrari has reworked front and rear aluminium clamshells, revised B-to-C-post sections, and enlarged NACA cooling ducts for improved airflow.

“This Ferrari ‘Wide Body’ was commissioned by a serial Ferrari owner and while other Ferrari’s came and went, and not to mention other high-performance machines, this Prancing Horse always remained in his collection as a firm favourite. “This ‘Wide Body’ enjoys a host of bespoke cosmetic and mechanical enhancements and has been in ownership of the Morello family from new. It is a unique BB and has ultra-low mileage, making it worthy of close inspection.””
John Markey, motorcar specialist at H&H Classics
Inspired by the factory-built 512 BB Competizione models that raced at Le Mans in 1978, the car has been extremely well cared for by the Morello family since new and is now being offered for sale by the owner’s wife.
