A 1904 Riley motorcycle, believed to be the only one in existence, has been stolen from a secured barn in Ousden, Suffolk.
The bike, which is owned by Robert Fellowes, the great-grandson of Percy Riley (the man who created the bike), was taken overnight between Monday evening (15th December 2025) and early Tuesday morning (16th December 2025). The bike had been stored on a clamped car transporter trailer inside a locked barn, within a gated and padlocked yard.
As well as the motorbike, several tools were also stolen. Suffolk Police say an unknown intruder cut through the gate to gain access to the property, and they are currently investigating the theft.
Even though the rare bike had only been back with the Riley family for around seven years, it obviously has a strong personal connection to them and has undergone significant restoration work.
Due to its age, rarity, and mechanical complexity, the bike is likely to be difficult to sell without attracting attention. Hopefully, the bike will be recovered, and we would encourage anyone with information to contact Suffolk Police.
