Steve continued work on our 1963 Rover P4 110 by fitting the original internal Firfix door trim, which, although showing signs of age, was retained for authenticity. Some sections of the timber backing to which the trim attaches had deteriorated and were replaced to provide a secure foundation for the staple fixings. The front ‘A’ pillar covers have now been installed, and all rubber door seals have been glued into position, completing the trim work around the apertures. An intermittent fault affecting the driver’s headlamp was investigated and traced to poor electrical contact within the light switch. Steve removed the switch, cleaned the internal contacts, and reassembled the unit, which is now functioning reliably.
