Jonn removed both washer jets from our 2014 Volkswagen T5 Camper to clear blockages before refitting and testing them to confirm functionality. He then stripped the dashboard to investigate an issue with the heater direction control, which was not operating correctly. Upon inspection, he found that both control cables were not attached at the control unit and were broken. Additionally, the control panel itself was found to be damaged. A list of required parts was prepared to order.
After completing the inspection, Jonn reassembled the lower section of the driver’s side dashboard and secured the wiring with cable ties. He connected his ECU reader to check for any fault codes but found none stored in the ECU. He confirmed that the flashing glow plug light indicates an electrical fault, while the engine management light relates to emissions. However, his diagnostic tool was unable to retrieve any codes, and he advised that a more advanced diagnostic tool would be needed.
Jonn also removed the offside front drop link rod. The lower nut had to be cut off due to corrosion. A new link rod was fitted and secured, and the wheel was refitted and torqued to specification.
