1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI

A bit of corrosion has been discovered in our Golf GTI so the car is now with Greg and the paint shop to rectify. We are not expecting it to take too long to resolve the issues and prepare the car for paint.

A bit of work required on the wiring. We have reconnected a couple of wires where the crimps had broken. We have also managed the cables away from sight.

1978 MG Midget 1500

Final preparation and PDI is now complete on the Midget. This is due to be delivered to a very very happy Richard next week.

We have trimmed the bracket and paint black. Foam has been attached to the tank back and sections cut out to go on bracket. We have cut new length of hose to go between radiator and tank and a length for overflow pipe also. Stick foam to bracket and mount tank. Fit pipes to tank and radiator. Cable tie overflow pipe in position. Top up tank. Refit grill and both intake pipes. Fit new nearside mirror base and secure mirror. Carry out road test. Stop and adjust idle speed, then return to garage.

Now, we are good to go.

The tyre sealant bottle in the boot was upside down and begun leaking going inside the holder and the compressor.

Alpina front sticker is worn/damaged.

There are small dents on near side wing and door near 3.4S badge.
