Guests who visit Bridge Classic Cars HQ are often surprised by the space we offer here. Four workshops that are full of stunning classic cars, we have The Cold Store, home to Clinton and Greg busy producing the most beautiful metalwork you have ever seen. The Paint Shop where you’ll find Chris, Adam and Mauro normally with their heads down, perfecting the body lines in preparation for the all important colour treatment. You’re greeted to Bridge Classic Cars via the Main Workshop doors where you’ll see classic cars every which way you turn and finally you’ll be lead through to The Atelier with rows of wonderful classics in the final stages of their rebuild journey with us.

Then we have the The Classic Lounge, a showroom where history, craftsmanship and passion all stand side by side. But it is not your tradiational showroom; no car is technically for sale but there is so much to see. Is it a showroom? Is it a museum? Is it a TV studio? Or is it an events space? The truth is, it is all of those things and more. What truly sets it apart is its remarkable versatility.

Today was a perfect example. On one side of the room a professional meeting was underway. I was busy with our guest Josh, discussing ideas, sharing plans and talking about the future.

Meanwhile, through the glass and between the cars, a completely different kind of activity was being mapped out.

Molly, Max were busy rehearsing for our upcoming Theatre In Education Tour, The Story of Rilee.

We could hear laughter with bursts of energy as they practiced their lines, listened to the audio and did the DANCE!

Then, if that wasn’t enough, tucked away in the corner of the space we had Rob and Richard, drinking coffee and discussing tech options from the comfort of the sofas.

The Classic Lounge, usually associated with quiet admiration, transformed effortlessly into a lively rehearsal stage. Yet, despite the contrast between the three activities, they all worked so perfectly together.

When we opened The Classic Lounge, we always wanted a showroom space that didn’t just showcase our cars, we wanted a space for people to enjoy and ideas to thrive and today proved to us; we had acheived the environment we set out to make.
