Out with the Old – New Exhaust and Mirrors on the 1954 Jaguar MkVII

The workshop team at Bridge Classic Cars have been getting the old parts off and out of the 1954 Jaguar MkVII ahead of the new replacement pieces going in.
To start with, Jon removed the old exhaust from the car to clean up the manifolds. Once cleaned, he could them back into the car and begin putting together the exhaust with the new backbox. This included brand new hardware for the mounts to keep the soundtrack as elegant as this classic Jaguar looks.
Finally, with the exhaust all complete, Jon could fit the new replacement mirrors onto the MkVII and give them a quick polish to finish the car off.
Run Through – Road Testing the 1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster

The restoration workshop have been tasked to look into a few items for the owner of the stunning 1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster. To look into some of those issues, the classic Jaguar roadster has been carefully road tested by the team.
Firstly, our restoration technician Jon has been testing the car to try and locate the mentioned unusual engine noise from the straight-six. The team will test the car in varying conditions (driven, idle, visual inspection) in order to look into any possibilities for the noise.
With the XK120 Roadster back into our workshop, tucked away in the Suffolk countryside, it will be moved onto one of our ramps to begin visual inspections of the car and some other items noted by its owner.
Service and Inspection – Servicing the 1967 Jaguar MkII and Looking for a Leak

The restoration team at Bridge Classic Cars have got to work on servicing the 1967 Jaguar MkII 3.4 which is in with us for service and inspection. The team carried out the service which also included the replacement of the points and condenser in the ignition system to make sure the classic big Jaguar was running at its absolute best.
Along with that, the owner has asked the team to investigate and find the source of a reported leak. Beginning the investigation, our technician Scott inspected all the axle seals as well as any other parts of the driveline. During that inspection, he noticed a weap coming from the rear differential with a suspected leak coming from the pinion seal of the classic Jaguar.
With this, the car will have this investigated further and rectified before being tested and given the all clear.

The latest arrival into The Hangar, the Bridge Classic Cars secure storage facility is this legendary 1954 Jaguar XK120.
This car was acquired by ourselves due to the owner, unfortunately, passing away and therefore the project has been left incomplete. Tom and Brian went to pick up the car, the spare chassis and the numerous spare parts which had been sourced for the car by its previous owner.
This 1954 Jaguar XK120 will soon be up for sale on the new Bridge Classic Cars MyClassics website.
