On the weekend of 28th and 29th January, Anglia Car Auctions will be hosting an auction in King’s Lynn and the Bridge Classic Cars team will be in attendance.
Our 2 very special Daimlers will be part of the auction and it will be great to see them both find new homes.
We have been to several Anglia Car Auctions before and they have always been very successful days out.
If you are interested in any of the cars being sold at the auction, viewing is offered on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th January from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The auction opens at 9:00 am each day – admission is free, but catalogues can be purchased for £5.
If you are thinking of going to the auction, some of our previous visits can be seen here and here.
We have very recently welcomed our 2015 Land Rover Defender 110 to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.
This isn’t any old Defender though as it comes with quite a bit of history, despite it only being 8 years old. Belonging to explorer and adventurer Ed Stafford, this imposing vehicle was stolen and stripped of a lot of its components.
Since the Land Rover was returned to Ed, he has been hard at work rebuilding it and getting it back on the road. Following Ed’s recent visit to us, we will now do some restoration work on the Defender to help him get the vehicle looking as good as it should.
Ed’s Defender was featured on the cover of the January edition of Land Rover Monthly magazine.
If you want to hear more about the story of Ed Stafford’s Land Rover as well as his epic expeditions including walking the length of the Amazon river, surviving on an uninhabited island, and living on the streets of the UK, you can meet Ed and hear his stories first hand on March 25th 2023 when we host Stories at The Atelier with Ed Stafford. Tickets are now available!
The East Anglian Daily Times recently published a list of the 5 major shows and events running in Suffolk in January 2023.

Progress continues to be made in The Atelier at Bridge Classic Cars.
We recently opened our bar for the very first time at our festive live draw in December and we are soon to be installing a brand new coffee machine too!
The bar recently got a bit of an upgrade and, as you can see from the photos below, it is looking better than ever.
The Atelier at Bridge Classic Cars will be the hub of the majority of our events throughout 2023 and beyond. Having a bar area and the facilities to host events to help bring more people together is very important to us and we hope you will all get to have a drink with us very soon.
If you want to keep up to date with our upcoming events, head over to our events page for all the details.
On Sunday, August 20th, the Porsche East show is taking place at Rickinghall Village Green.
There will be food and drink available to all in attendance as well as giving you the opportunity to admire some very nice cars too.
As it is Porsche’s 75th anniversary, the event will be focussing on classic cars and Porsche’s heritage.
Members of the Bridge Classic Cars team will be in attendance so we hope to see you there!

On Thursday 22nd December 2022, Bridge Classic Cars hosted our festive live draw from The Atelier.
During the event, lucky winners were found for our 2005 Aston Martin DB9, our 1985 Ferrari Mondial, and our REC Tourer Watch and there was live music from The Three Chordettes (featuring our very own Molly).
The event also saw the opening of our new bar where mulled wine, beer, and mince pies were available to all those in attendance.
Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars had a great time at our festive live draw and, as you can see from the photos below taken by Tilt Shift Creative, the night was a great success.
We will be hosting more events throughout 2023 from The Atelier at Bridge Classic Cars so make sure you keep an eye on our events page to stay up to date with what we are planning.
Yesterday the Bridge Classic Cars New Year’s Car Rally took place.
The rally began at our workshop where participants enjoyed hot drinks and the opportunity to speak with fellow car enthusiasts. Once everyone had spent some time admiring each other’s cars and had a cup of coffee, we all set off, in convoy, towards our first stop at Friday Street Kitchen
After a quick stop to admire the cars once more, the rally continued on its way to The White Hart in Blythburgh for a traditional Sunday lunch.
Our New Year’s Car Rally was a lot of fun for everyone involved and we loved seeing the more than 50 cars that took part.
Thank you to everyone who came along and we look forward to seeing you again very soon and a very special thank you to Malachy Curry for sending us some of the below photos.

Tipped as the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is the place to be this summer for all car enthusiasts.
A few members of the Bridge Classic Cars team will be there to enjoy the atmosphere and to check out a nice car or two!
More information can be found here.
We will be joining the annual rally from Christchurch park in Ipswich to the Felixstowe seafront alongside up to 700 other cars.
This annual event organised by the Ipswich Transport Museum has been running for decades and has been delighting crowds waving from the roadside en route for its entirety.
Following a covid led hiatus, this event returned with gusto last year and was another great success.
The team here at Bridge Classic Cars can not wait to see all the cars in convoy.
For more information, please contact the Ipswich Transport Museum directly
You can read all about our very successful Evening With Ed Stafford here.
An Evening with Ed Stafford is now sold out! We can’t wait to welcome an audience to The Atelier.
You can still be involved as there is still time to enter into the competition for your chance to WIN Ed Stafford’s 2015 Land Rover Defender.
Ed Stafford is an adventurer, explorer, and well-known TV personality. Ed is the first man to walk the length of the Amazon River from source to sea, with his epic expedition concluding on 9th August 2010. It took Ed 860 days of trekking to complete the journey cementing his rightful place in the record books.
After the Discovery Channel made a documentary of Ed’s Amazon adventure, he also wrote a book telling the story of his experience.
Since then, Ed Stafford has survived completely alone on an uninhabited island, lived on the streets of the UK, and competed against some of the world’s best survival experts in his catalogue of TV shows and documentaries.
Recently, Ed has been featured in the news for a more personal reason – his 2015 Land Rover Defender 110 was stolen and stripped of many of its components. Ed has been working hard to rebuild his Land Rover and we are helping him out with this too!
Take a look at some of our highlight gallery below:
On Saturday 25th March 2023, Ed Stafford joined us on stage at The Atelier.
On the night, Ed shared the stories of his achievements and experiences. Our Atelier audience had the opportunity to get to know Ed and learn more about his life, adventures, and his Land Rover.
There was also a question and answer section of the evening where we will delved deeper into Ed’s life and offered the audience the opportunity to ask their own questions.
Doors opened at 7 pm ready for the evening to commence at 7:45 pm
The Atelier Bar was be open for drinks. There was the opportunity for you to view some of the rare and unique classic cars we are currently working on in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.

The doors opened at 6 pm so you our friends could enjoy some food and drink while listening to incredible live music before the live stream of the draw started at 7 pm.
Check out our highlights gallery from the event:
On the night, we held the live draw of our 1979 Austin Morris Mini 850. This is a beautiful classic Mini so make sure you get your ticket as it would be so exciting to have the lucky winner in the room with us.
Of all the cars manufactured in the history of motoring, very few have managed to unite so many people as the classic Mini. Steve McQueen, Mick Jagger, and even Enzo Ferrari have all owned classic Minis and now you could too.
These iconic little cars have never been reserved for only the super wealthy or those with celebrity status. Classic Minis are a car for everyone and offer an extremely fun car to drive while still being easy to maintain with low running costs.
Our 1979 Austin Morris Mini 850 had a full repaint in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop helping to make this one of the best-presented Minis we have ever had as a competition car
We are very excited to have the amazing Annika Rands with us in The Atelier at Bridge Classic Cars for March Mini Madness.
Annika has performed professionally all over the world, from a cabaret show in Turkey to sailing and singing to thousands of guests every night onboard cruise ships.
There will be a range of delicious pizzas available throughout the evening, provided by Piccolo Pizza Box.
Piccolo Pizza Box looks great against the backdrop of classic cars as all pizzas are made within a converted vintage horse box. Wood-fired, stone-baked pizzas are always extra tasty so we are looking forward to welcoming them to Bridge Classic Cars.
The Atelier bar will be open for drinks for the duration of the event. With a selection of beers and spirits, we are sure you’ll find something you like. There will also be coffee and hot chocolate available from the bar too. Please note: we can only accept card payments.
While you are here, you will be able to see inside our workshop and take a look at our some of our current projects. Not only that, but this event offers you an exclusive look into the behind-the-scenes action of our live broadcasts.

There will be live music from MJ Soul who is one of the best Soul / RnB live performers in East Anglia and beyond. His voice has been entertaining crowds all over the UK for several years and covers a wide range of styles including soul, funk, reggae, R&B, and swing, covering artists from the 70s, 80s and 90s, right up to the current day.
As well as the musical entertainment, there will be food from Wagyu Burgers and Street Food!

Highlights of Drive It Day can be seen here.
Bridge Classic Cars are pleased to be hosting a Drive It Day on Sunday 23rd April 2023.
National Drive It Day was created by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs in 2005. It celebrates the 65 cars that attempted to drive 1000 miles from London to Edinburgh and back again in 1900 to prove the viability of the motor car.
This epic journey began on 23rd April 1900 and ended on 12th May 1900 when 35 of the original 65 cars that began the journey successfully arrived back in London.
National Drive It Day has become even more than a celebration of this mammoth undertaking. It is now an event where classic and historic vehicle enthusiasts can get together to not only share memories and experiences of their own classic vehicles but also raise money for the NSPCC too.
More information on the origins of the event can be seen here.
The drive will begin at our secure storage facility, The Hangar, located at Bentwaters Parks – a former military air base. There will be time to have a coffee, talk to other enthusiasts, and admire all of the special vehicles in attendance. At noon, we will travel, in convoy, covering a 7-mile scenic route to our workshop in Pettistree, Woodbridge. Here we will have live music from The Buskateers, food from Otis Breading and Suffolk Fried Chicken, and The Atelier Bar will be open until 3 pm.
Commemorative rally plates can be purchased from the official Drive It Day website with the money raised from the purchase providing vital funding for Childline.

Here at Bridge Classic Cars we very much believe in investing in the future and investing in new people to make that future happen.
A little over a month ago, Lily joined the team to help launch our newest project which is already starting to take shape. These ideas will help build the landscape of Bridge Classic Cars in 2023.
In order for the fresh new minds to work, we needed to create fresh, new space for it to all happen in so here we have our latest office space. A extension on what is already the marketing office here at Bridge, the space will now be twice the size and open planned for many minds to work together!
Or to chat more and share snacks…
Ollie from OJHurd Carpentry pulled in some long nights for us to get this built in just 4 days.
With the electrics now in, all we need now is the new window openings, the plastering, the decorating and voila…our events hub will be here!
We are very much looking forward to all of the new and amazing events being thought up in our new space. Freddie is already wanting the extension of his office to have plants and water features but we think a couple of desks and a cabinet will be just as good!
We won’t give away too much for what we have coming up next year but more information will follow very soon indeed!
