Our 1972 Triumph Stag has entered the Bridge Classic Cars workshop and will now be prepared to be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
Before it goes live though, some paintwork will be done to add black pinstripes to the side of this classic Stag. It will also need to undergo a thorough assessment and inspection by the workshop team before a final plan of action is put in place.
Hannah is a passionate biker and has worked with some big names in the bike world, so we were very excited to spend some time with her.
Nick had a great time on the shoot and we hope Hannah enjoyed herself too. It’s always great to see an epic motorbike riding around Bentwaters and this was certainly no exception.
Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to thank Hannah for coming to see us and we are very much looking forward to finding the winner of her 2022 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 very soon.
The shoot was for our latest classic car that has just launched on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions. This is a very special competition though as all profits will be donated to this life-saving charity.
We were extremely lucky to have the helicopter join us for the shoot, as well as getting to meet some of the skilled lifesavers that have saved thousands of lives in some extraordinarily bad situations. Watching the air ambulance fly overhead and land just a few feet away from our 1973 Triumph Spitfire and from where we were standing was an experience none of the team here will forget in a hurry.
As important as the shoot was to make sure we highlighted just how important the charity’s work is, while also demonstrating the quality of our Spitfire, it was a fun day out with a lot of laughing, and adults acting like children being so close to a helicopter!
East Anglian Air Ambulance is a charity that provides life-saving services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Since the charity first launched in 2000, they have attended the scene of more than 30,000 accidents and given critical care to thousands of casualties in need.
Our 2022 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has recently arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop. This will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
As it is such a new bike, it has done less than 200 miles and is a fantastic example of a classic-style modern bike.
We are very much looking forward to seeing our Meteor 350 go live and for someone to become the new owner of this incredible motorbike very soon.
Our 1980 MGB GT has been in the skilled hands of classic car technician Jonn as he continues to prepare it to be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
He aligned the timing marks to top dead centre on cylinder 1. The distributor was also removed, cleaned, rebuilt, and refitted to the engine.
Now that this work has been done, our 1980 MGB GT is one step closer to being won in the near future.
Classic car technician Alan has recently stripped our 1958 Austin Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite in preparation for it to be painted.
He has continued this process by applying primer to the future Bridge Classic Cars Competitions prize. Once it leaves the paint shop, it will be ready to be won very soon.
After being won back in December, Nick Jones enjoyed this special car for around 6 months before the time came for him to let it go. Once we heard this news, we felt that we had no choice but to buy the car back and offer you one more chance of winning it for yourself.
Classic car technician Brian has been working on the latest car available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, our 1963 Reliant Scimitar GTE. Brian made and replaced the dash top cover, ensuring that this classic car’s interior looks as good as possible for the lucky winner who is soon-to-be-found.
Brian started by making a paper pattern for the cover before using this to cut the cover out of vinyl.
The dash top was sanded smooth in preparation for glueing and was masked up. The back edge of the new cover was glued in place first followed by the top edge. Brian then folded the vinyl around the front edge and trimmed the excess material off.
Now that the new dash top cover is fitted, our Reliant Scimitar is ready to be won on Tuesday, 6th June.
Our 1980 MGB GT, which will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, has been under the care of classic car technician Jonn.
Jonn has fitted new rear fog lights to our classic MGB.
After fitting both the offside and the nearside lights, he tested them to make sure they were working correctly. Once he was happy that they were, our 1980 MGB GT moved one step closer to being won in the near future.
Classic car technician Brian has been completing some interior work on our 1973 Triumph Spitfire. He began by glueing the carpets back around the footwell cross members and then glued the footwell carpets in place too.
The tunnel carpet was fitted under the trim panel before Brian trimmed the binding on the cockpit carpet. He went on to add some extra foam over the tunnel area and repaired the gearshift gaiter.
Classic car technician Jonn has been working on our 1971 Ford Escort RS Mexico Recreation in preparation for it to be delivered to its new owner who won it through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
Jonn fitted a new strut and spring assembly to both sides of our Mexico, and this takes it one step closer to leaving us and getting back out on the road with its lucky new owner.
Earlier today, we delivered our 2009 Porsche Cayman S Sport to lucky winner Steven Wellard. Steven’s winning ticket number of 2496 was randomly selected during the live draw held on 23rd May 2023.
Steven has been playing with Bridge Classic Cars Competitions for several years and has a particular love for the MGs we have offered in the past. In fact, he is the Chairman of his local MG club and currently owns an MGB which, as you can see from the photos below, looks great next to his new Porsche.
Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Steven on his win and we hope he enjoys his Porsche Cayman S Sport as much as he does his MGB.
After being painted, our 1980 MGB GT has been put back together and started the process of going through its pre-filming check, ready for it to be filmed very soon before going live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.
Classic car technician Mauro made sure the newly painted car was back in one piece and then Jonn took over and started going through his checklist of points that all competition cars have to meet.
We have a very special project coming up that involves our 1973 Triumph Spitfire. In preparation for this, classic car technician Jonn has been making sure it is ready to go and in full working order.
Jonn began his assessment by checking the lights and fluid levels before jacking the car up to check its tyres and brakes. All of these areas passed Jonn’s assessment. Grease was applied to any areas that needed it, and a small jubilee clip was fitted on the fuel hose to the carburettor.
The offside wing mirror was secured as Jonn noticed it was a bit loose. He also noticed that the nearside mirror had been bonded on previously. This was heated up to break the bond before the broken base plate could be looked at for repair.
Jonn also began investigating why the stereo powered on but does not appear to be functioning.
Even though our 1973 Reliant Scimitar is now live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website, that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t get cared for before its new owner is eventually found next week. A prime example of this is classic car technician Jonn has been making some repairs to our latest competition car to make sure it is completely ready to be won.
Jonn gave the car a full check over and topped up the engine coolant. He noticed that the washer pipe wasn’t connected properly, so he reconnected this under the bonnet and tested the washers. The lights, fluid levels, wheel nuts, and tyre pressures were all checked, and Jonn was satisfied that these were as he expected them to be.
The car then went up on the ramp so Jonn could conduct a deeper inspection. The chassis and components were checked and the front suspension and propshaft were greased.
Jonn went on to strip the driver’s door and removed the panel to investigate why the electric window was not working. It was found that the window had come off the regulator. This was resolved by refitting the regulator and, as you can see in the video below, the window now works perfectly.
After repairing the window, Jonn removed the front wheels and replaced the top inner bolt on the upper ball joint and fitted a lockwire to secure the rubber boot.
A new oil filter was also fitted before a satisfactory road test was carried out and our 1973 Reliant Scimitar was given the green light to be won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
Our 1980 Saab 99 Turbo is live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.
After being refurbished by our team of classic car technicians, it retains a lot of its original features and has been refinished in its signature deep black paintwork. The interior is in excellent condition and the lucky winner of this classic Saab will be the owner of one of the first true turbocharged performance cars.
When we delivered our 1958 Austin-Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite to William Gordon, who had won it through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, we couldn’t help but notice the Frogeye he already owned parked up in his garage.
The story ended with the Frogeye he won staying with him in Scotland and his former Frogeye coming back to Suffolk with us ready to eventually be offered as a future competition car.
Our (new) 1958 Austin-Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite has arrived at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop and will now be inspected by our team of technicians before being prepped ready for its lucky new owner (who will hopefully be found soon).
When William Gordon won our 1958 Austin-Healey ‘Frogeye’ Sprite through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, we took a long drive up to Scotland to deliver his new classic car to him.
When we arrived, it wasn’t long until we noticed another Frogeye quietly poking its head out from inside William’s garage.
What eventually happened was that William’s new Frogeye (that he had recently won) left our trailer, and the Frogeye he already owned was put on the now empty trailer and made the journey back down to Suffolk with us.
Now that it is here in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, it will undergo a thorough assessment and inspection before hopefully becoming another competition car in the very near future.
After his winning ticket number of 3009 was randomly selected in our live draw held on 9th May 2023, we delivered the camper to Steve at his home and he was very happy with it.
Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Steve again and we hope that he enjoys plenty of summer days out in his camper!
Our 1968 Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5 continues to make progress as it moves closer to becoming a competition car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.
In this video, you can see what happened when it spent some time in the Bridge Classic Cars paintshop.
Only 700 S Sports were made and this is car number 56 of 700. It is finished in stunning Carrera White with the black graphics pack and matching 19-inch SportDesign wheels making it look cool, stylish, and very sporty.
With only 36,000 miles on the clock, there is a whole lot more left in the tank of this mid-engined sports car. Whether you’re heading out on a road trip or using it as a daily driver, you will certainly enjoy the experience of being behind the wheel.
Entry is now open so make sure you get your tickets fast to be in with a chance of winning our 2009 Porsche Cayman S Sport, as we don’t expect this one to be available for long.
More photos of it with the car will be available soon but, in the meantime, as you can see from its previous owner’s social media posts, it even looks great in the trailer making its way to us.
With only 2 former keepers and undergoing a complete overhaul in 1988, our Morgan 4/4 has recently had its wire wheels refinished in silver from their previous red colour.
Someone will win our 1969 Morgan 4/4 1600 at 9:00 am on 16th May 2023, so make sure you get your tickets from the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website to be in with a chance of becoming the new owner of this stunning classic car.
As part of our Drive It Day event, to raise money for the NSPCC, we held a competition for attendees to guess how many balloons we had put inside our 1973 Triumph Spitfire.
Of all the people who entered the competition, there were several who were surprisingly close. However, the correct answer was……there were 74 balloons in our Spitfire.
The winner, whose guess was the closest, thought there were 76 balloons inside – just two away from the actual number.
Starting its life as a standard Ford Escort in Maroon, it was rebuilt from its shell between 2010 and 2014 and is now a fantastic recreation of an Escort Mexico.
Finished in Le Mans Green, it has had all of the type 49 shell additions to make this a true Mexico replica.
