The paintshop team have been busy working on our 1969 Audi 70L. There have been some rust repairs made before various parts of the car have had epoxy primer applied in preparation for paint very soon. This rare car will shortly be looking much closer to its finished form.
Greg is continuing the restoration work on our Audi 70L as he prepares the engine bay area. He has removed the wiring harness and lots of other components within in engine area ready for paint. Meanwhile, Tony has been over to our friends at Sheldrake & Wells to collect the newly refurbished fuel tank.
The suspension components of our 1969 Audi 70L were prepared and painted, beginning with sandblasting to remove rust from the drums and any other removable parts. The welding work on our 1969 Audi 70L is almost complete. The old underseal is being removed in preparation for a new layer to be applied for longevity.
Dave has recently been extremely busy with our 1969 Audi 70L. The car needed to be completely stripped down for the rest of the work required to be completed. Once Dave had finished stripping our Audi, the car moved on to the next stage of paint stripping and welding repairs where required.
