A New Tonneau Cover For An AC Ace

Our 1958 AC Ace has had a new tonneau cover made by Brian and Lydia.
Brian made paper patterns for the steering wheel cover before cutting out a trial cover from vinyl and trial-fitting it in the car. The tonneau cover had a slot cut out of it where the steering wheel cover will be. The steering wheel cover was then cut out before Brian fitted lift-the-dot fasteners and fitted the cover to the car.
Lydia helped Brian out by sewing the vinyl mock-up of the steering wheel cover.
Servicing Our AC Ace

Classic car technician Steve has been working on our 1958 AC Ace.
Steve drained the diff, gearbox, and engine oils from this stunning classic car before moving on to replacing the spark plugs.
To fill the gearbox, Steve used the access cover on the transmission tunnel. After doing this, he also removed the washer pump in order to unblock the pipes.
Our 1958 AC Ace is a very special classic car and work continues to make sure it stays in the same great condition in the future.

While it is with us, our team of classic car technicians will be giving the complete braking system a thorough check as the owner has reported that the front brake calipers feel a bit sticky.
It’s not very often that you get to see a car as special as an AC Ace so it’s exciting to see one up close in the workshop.
