Mince Pie Drive 2024

Last year’s mince pie drive was a first for us, it was a wholesome and humbling experience and we were so honoured to meet so many lovely individuals. Our classic cars sparked joy among residents of local care homes, see the highlights here.

This year we will be looking to visit even more residential homes to spread the love of the machine to those who would be unable to visit us. If you would like us to come and visit your venue or join our convoy please contact Lily on events@bridgeclassiccars.co.uk

A Classic Christmas Advert

A few weeks ago, I threw the idea out to the team here at Bridge Classic Cars that we should make our very own Christmas advert. With the likes of John Lewis, Aldi, Coca-Cola, and numerous other big names putting out some incredible festive ads over the last few years, I thought we had the capability to do the same.

As great as the popular Christmas Adverts are, we felt that there was one thing missing from pretty much all of them – a classic car. After a bit of time brainstorming, our 1968 Morris 1000 Pickup caught our eye and, alongside Molly, was chosen to be the star of our festive film.

The Story Of Our Christmas Advert

In our Christmas advert, Molly goes on an adventure into a wintery forest to find the perfect Christmas tree for The Atelier at Bridge Classic Cars.

As Molly walks through the forest, she explores her surroundings, searching for that one special tree that would stand amongst our classic cars throughout December. Once she finds one that fits her criteria, she calls upon the help of our classic Morris Pickup.

After loading the tree into the back of our Morris 1000 Pickup, Molly drives away from the forest on her way back to the workshop, where we were all patiently waiting for her arrival so we could officially start our Christmas celebrations.

Classic Cars At Christmas

Beyond the stunning visuals of our Christmas advert lies the love and passion we all have for classic vehicles. We believe that Christmas is about family and spending time with those that you love. We thought we would show you how, to us at least, a car isn’t just a machine to get you from A to B; it can be a big part of your family and they can have their very own personality.

With the release of our festive film, Christmas has begun at Bridge Classic Cars. There are only a couple of weeks left before the big day, so the entire team would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing even more of you in 2024.

Lapland UK

This past weekend, Bridge Classic Cars‘ Director Craig took his family to Lapland UK. Set in an enchanted wood in Berkshire, this immersive experience creates a magical winter wonderland that transports families to the North Pole to see what Father Christmas and his Elves are getting up to in the run-up to Christmas.

From the moment they arrived, Craig and his family were greeted by the wide range of sights and sounds of the holiday season. The picturesque snowy landscapes, festive lights and wooden cabins, set the scene for an early start to the 2023 Christmas season.

The main event of a visit to Lapland UK is, obviously, meeting Father Christmas himself. With lots of other Christmas and wintery activities going on too, there was plenty to do for adults and children alike.

Craig had a great time at Lapland UK and it is somewhere that other members of the team with young families (me included) will definitely visit next year!

Christmas Clean Up

As we prepare to shut for Christmas, our workshop team are doing a thorough festive clean. Although we always keep our workspaces clean and sanitised, spending extra time on Friday afternoons, we know it’s essential to give our workshop a deep clean before we head home.

We couldn’t forget to share with you Rosie looking very festive! There’s no need for reindeer here as we’ve got plenty horsepower between all our cars, but we do have the important edition of a Christmas pup who provides festive cheer whilst we prepare the workshop for Christmas closure. You can see our opening times here.

Christmas Live Draw

What a way to celebrate Christmas! Last night we had a very festive live draw where we announced the lucky winners of two of competition cars, our 1974 VW Beetle and our 1995 Jaguar XJ6, as well as announcing our new competition car.

Congratulations to Colin Knight, who won our VW Beetle with ticket number 32! Nick Nicola was our Jaguar winner with ticket number 664!

We’ll be delivering their Christmas presents in the new year and can’t wait to hear from them with their new cars!

You can see the entry list here.

If you want to receive exclusive discounts on our competitions, sign up to our mailing list here!

Opening Hours Over Christmas

We know this year has presented some challenging and difficult times for everyone but we wanted to say thank you to all our clients and followers who have continued to support us and keep up to date with our projects. With more areas in the South East going into Tier 4 soon, we hope everyone will keep safe.

With only 2 sleeps until Christmas, we want to let you know that our workshop will be closed from 24th December at 5 pm to 4th January 2021. You can still reach us via our phone number over the festive period if needed.

But until then, have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, and healthy, new year! We’ll be back in the office bright and early on the 4th of January.
