Working On Our TR6

Classic car technician Jonn has been working on our 1973 Triumph TR6 which will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.

Jonn fitted new cold start cables and looked at the fast idle speed cable too.

Another Competition Car Gets Prepped

Our 1973 Triumph TR6 has continued its progress towards going live on the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions website.

Classic car technician Jonn fitted a new horn pin as well as a new ignition coil with a new wire being run from the fuse box to the coil.

It won’t be too much longer until our TR6 will be available to win!

Getting Our TR6 Ready To Be Won

Our 1973 Triumph TR6 will soon be going live on Bridge Classic Cars Competitions. Before that happens though, classic car technician Jonn has been checking it over to make sure everything is ready for its lucky new owner.

Part of Jonn’s work included getting all of the rear lights working, replacing the aftermarket steering wheel with a more period-correct one, and getting the stereo loom ready for the stereo to be fitted.

The stereo was then fitted and tested and found to be working as expected. Jonn went on to adjust the handbrake as well as fitting new door locks on both sides. A new clutch pedal anti-slip pad was fitted too.

Painting Our TR6

Classic car technician Mauro has been painting our 1973 Triumph Tr6. Before he put a new coat of paint on this eye-catching classic car, he prepped the vehicle before priming it.

Once prepped and primed, Mauro painted the TR6 so it is now looking better than ever.

After Mauro had finished with our TR6, Lydia took over and got to work on the interior carpets.

TR6 Hood Frame Improvements

Our 1973 Triumph TR6 has been in the Bridge Classic Cars Paintshop with classic car technician Alan who has been painting the hood frame.

This is already an attention-grabbing car thanks to its yellow colour and improvements like this go a long way in making it even more admirable.

TR6 Carpets

New classic car technician Lydia has once again been working on one of the classic cars in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop.

Our 1973 Triumph TR6 has been her focus, specifically the interior carpets.

TR6 Improvements

After returning to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, our 1973 Triumph TR6 has been in the experienced hands of classic car technician Steve.

Steve fitted new bushes on the rear training arms as well as removing the damaged anti-roll bar mounts.

The split pins were broken and needed to be drilled out before Steve went on to remove and replace the split top ball joint boots. Rust was cleaned from the suspension bush holes before everything was put back together.

Steve also checked the fuel pressure and fuel distribution unit timing.

Saying Hello To Our TR6 Again

We have recently welcomed an old friend back into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in the form of our 1973 Triumph TR6.

It has come to us for a full service and some paintwork. While it is with us, our team of technicians will also be fitting new bushes and adjustable trailing arms.

We are pleased to see one of our former projects return to us, and our yellow TR6 certainly stands out in the workshop.

Our 1973 Triumph TR6 Delivered

The lucky winner of our 1973 Triumph TR6, Barnaby Page, took delivery of his car recently.

Won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, Barnaby had winning ticket number 2351 which was randomly selected during our live draw held on 26th January 2023.

Everyone here at Bridge Classic Cars would like to congratulate Barnaby again for his win and we hope he enjoys his very own Triumph TR6.

A Bit More Paint Work

Before our 1973 Triumph TR6 is ready to find its new owner through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions, Classic Car Technician Chris repaired another small area of paintwork.

Chris prepped, primed, and painted the affected area and this classic car is now looking better than ever.

Someone will soon win our 1973 Triumph TR6 and, whoever is lucky enough to do so, will have a quintessential classic British sports car that looks as good as it drives!

Preparing Our 1973 Triumph TR6

Our 1973 Triumph TR6 will soon be available to win through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions. Before it goes live though, a few points were highlighted in its initial assessment that need to be addressed.

Classic car technician Chris wasted no time in resolving the small areas of paintwork that needed attention.

After spending a bit of time in the Bridge Classic Cars Paintshop, our beautiful TR6 looks great and is one step closer to being ready to be won by whoever its lucky new owner will be.

Another New Arrival – 1973 Triumph TR6

We have recently welcomed yet another classic car to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop in the form of our 1973 Triumph TR6.

As with all cars that come to us, our team of classic car technicians will give it a thorough inspection and assessment before making a plan of action for its future.

This will ultimately be a competition car through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions but, before that, we will certainly enjoy having it with us until a new owner is found in the very near future.

Out & About – 1973 Triumph TR6 in France

The 1973 Triumph TR6, which was restored in-house at the Bridge Classic Cars Suffolk HQ, has been out on its travels recently!

The car has been used on holiday in France by its owner and looks like the perfect companion for a countryside jaunt.

We love seeing our cars out there in the world being used and enjoyed!

Tucked Away – 1973 Triumph TR6 at Home in its Garage

The 1973 Triumph TR6 which was built by Bridge Classic Cars for our friend Stephen has been moved into its own secure garage at home in France.

Stephen recently took delivery of both the 1973 Triumph TR6 and the 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 Roadster, Fern Grey. Both of these cars now live in France with their owner in their own separate garages!

The Winners Circle – Winner of the 1973 Triumph TR6 Comes to Collect Her Car

Yesterday, the Bridge Classic Cars team welcomed Valerie to our restoration workshop to collect her 1973 Triumph TR6 she won through Bridge Classic Cars Competitions.

Valerie came down to take delivery of her beautiful Saffron Yellow TR6 and to have a look around our workshops at some of our restoration projects. Whilst she was collecting the car, we found out it was Valerie’s birthday! What a day it would be. Valerie, her son and her partner made the trip from Norfolk to collect the car and drive it home.

It’s always an incredible part of the story when you get to see someone’s reaction for the first time seeing their new classic in the metal for the first time. As Valerie said, the morning after she had won the car she still couldn’t believe it and had to ask if she had actually won it. This isn’t the first car Valerie won however, in 1991 she won a brand new Rover Metro through a competition by Heinz.

Still, this TR6 is a beautiful addition to the family so this morning Valerie sent us over a photo of ”Caramac” alongside the family Delorean in its new home.

We all want to wish Valerie many happy miles and hope she enjoys her new classic.

And here’s the video of Valerie collecting her 1973 Triumph TR6 from the Bridge Classic Cars workshop:

Behind The Scenes – Live Draw of the 1973 Triumph TR6

With the competition selling out just before the draw time of 7PM, the Bridge Classic Cars team got together to find out who the lucky new owner of our 1973 Triumph TR6 was.

The gorgeous Saffron Yellow TR6 was front and centre in the new Bridge Classic Cars building, surrounded by upcoming and some previous competition cars while a few of our personal collection are dotted throughout.

After having a look around and letting you all know about some very exciting competitions which have just gone live (the first ever driving experience of the Lotus Emira at the legendary Hethel test track) it was time to move on to what everyone was here for, finding out who had won the TR6.

As the team fired up the random number generator, and the entry list (published ahead of time due to the competition selling out early) up on the screen. It was time for the magical click, as the numbers whirred passed on the screen the last few messages of luck flashed up on the live comments. And there it was, 3999. A ticket number which was allocated to Valerie Bale. The new owner of the 1973 Triumph TR6.

Afterwards, during our live stream we tried to ring Valerie but couldn’t get through so left a message but she did ring back later and is over the moon with her new dream classic!

Behind the Scenes – Shooting our 1973 Triumph TR6

The Bridge Classic Cars Competitions teams have been out at our filming location to shoot our latest competition car, a 1973 Triumph TR6.

The team picked a perfect day for it. A series of delicate clouds against the pale blue sky above the Suffolk countryside was the perfect backdrop for the Saffron Yellow classic Triumph. Before this, the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop went over the car from head to toe in order to give it the green light to be driven around our filming location.

As the Suffolk air filled with the raspy sounds of the straight-4, the bright yellow drop-top whipped around with an air of excitement and freedom. A tool purely for the joy of driving. And now, we want you to experience this wonderful feeling.

Just head over to the Bridge Classic Cars Competitions now and enter for your chance to win this absolutely stunning 1973 Triumph TR6.

This Just In – 1973 Triumph TR6

On An Adventure – 1973 Triumph TR6 Begins Its Road Trip

The 1973 Triumph TR6 that has been restored by us here at Bridge Classic Cars has begun its newest adventure.

The Magenta TR6 was built for our friend Stephen Norman by our restoration workshop who recently came to our Suffolk HQ to test and shakedown the car ahead of its use on his planned holiday.

The car was delivered by us just outside of Folkstone where its owner awaited the arrival of this very special classic TR6. The car is going to be road tripped to the South of France for several week’s holiday, taking in the sights and sounds of a beautiful holiday in one of the most stunning locations in Europe.

Safe travels! and we can’t wait to see the TR6 enjoying the sun.

Final Inspection – Testing the 1973 Triumph TR6 and 1973 Jaguar E Type Series 3 Roadster

Recently, the owner of both the 1973 Jaguar E Type Series 3 Roadster and 1973 Triumph TR6 came to the Bridge Classic Cars workshop to test drive and inspect his newest projects by the team.

Each of the cars was inspected by Stephen before being taken out on several test drives to sort of suspension setups and any small changes to the car before their delivery to Europe for Stephen to enjoy for many years to come.

1973 Triumph TR6 Restoration

We’ve made great progress on our 1973 Triumph TR6 restoration in the past few weeks. Coming in as a complete restoration, the chassis is now fully prepared and painted. The fuel tank and radiator have been refurbished and painted to the highest standard. Next up for this TR6 is adding the suspension, running gear, engine and gearbox to our freshly prepared chassis.
